Q: Several keys on my computer keyboard do not function, do I need to return the unit for replacement?

A: Not necessarily. We have received several calls on this issue. and so far all have been traced down to the keyboard being fine, but the keys that were being pressed have been locked out by the Operating System.

In an effort to assist users in inputting the correct Product Keys into their Microsoft software, Microsoft has intentionally disabled certain keys that are not used. Please see below for a list of these keys.

To verify if this is the problem, please boot the system to a system disk and attempt to use the keys from the command line.
