LGA775 / Socket T Processors
Moving forward, the Intel®
Pentium® 4 processor family features a new LGA775 pin configuration
compatible
with Intel 925x/915 Express chipset-equipped motherboards featuring an
LGA775 socket. The LGA775
processor package enables power efficiencies necessary for 3.60GHz and
higher processor frequencies that
run data intensive business, multimedia, and gaming applications. The big
difference with the LGA775
platform is the removing of the pins from the CPU and the addition of pins
in the socket.
