Unknown Device Appears in Device Manager
IntelŪ Desktop Boards that support IntelŪ Viiv™ Technology may display a yellow exclamation mark on a PCI Device in Device Manager.  

This may occur under the following conditions:
 
  • The operating system requirement for Intel Viiv Technology has not been met.  Intel Viiv Technology requires Microsoft Windows* XP Media Center Edition. 
  • IntelŪ Quick Resume Technology is enabled in the BIOS but the drivers have not been installed.

To resolve this:

If you plan to use Intel Viiv Technology:

  1. Install the supported operating system - Microsoft* Windows* XP Media Center Edition.
  2. Install the Intel Quick Resume Technology drivers.

If you do not plan to use Intel Viiv Technology:

  1. During boot, enter the BIOS setup by pressing F2.
  2. On the Power menu, disable Intel Quick Resume Technology.
  3. Press F10 to Save and Exit.

Verified services will vary, and content restrictions may apply. Wireless and network performance varies with specific hardware and software configurations, usage, and environmental interference. Use a wired connection for improved performance with video and other media. May require TV tuner card and/or remote which may be sold separately.
